Feeling Overwhelmed? You’re Not Alone

Do you ever feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world, holding it all together for everyone else while feeling anxious, exhausted, or stuck on the inside? Maybe you’re constantly on edge, avoiding certain places, or finding it hard to trust yourself and others. As women, we’re often expected to stay strong no matter what, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need support.

You don’t have to carry it all alone. Therapy can be the space where you finally exhale, feel seen, and begin to heal on your own terms. Together, we can work toward reclaiming your peace, restoring your confidence, and nurturing your inner strength.

Meet Dr. Ashley Carreras

I’m Dr. Ashley Carreras, a licensed psychologist (PsyD), EMDRIA-certified, and PSYPACT-authorized provider, offering therapy in Illinois, Virginia, and Florida. I am Cuban American and bilingual, providing sessions in both English and Spanish.

I specialize in trauma, PTSD, and anxiety, helping women heal from painful experiences, recent or past. My approach combines evidence-based practices like EMDR, CBT, and Prolonged Exposure, offering a safe, supportive space to:

  • Reduce anxiety

  • Rebuild trust in yourself and others

  • Learn practical skills to feel more grounded, resilient, and empowered

My therapy style is warm, real, and sprinkled with sass, because healing can be serious work and a little fun.

Your Personalized Path to Healing

In our first session, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and guides our work together. I help clients determine which therapy—EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, or CBT, will be most effective for their unique journey.

What Sets My Practice Apart

  • Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you understand yourself with compassion. I blend trauma-informed care, EMDR, and real, down-to-earth conversations to help you feel grounded, safe, and deeply seen. You’ll always be met with honesty, warmth, and zero judgment.

  • You’ve spent so long holding it all together. Now it’s time to feel supported. Together, we’ll work on healing from the past, setting boundaries that feel good, and reconnecting with peace and confidence. You don’t have to do it alone anymore.

  • Therapy with me is calm, collaborative, and real. Some days it might feel gentle and reflective other days it might bring up big feelings. Either way, you’re safe to show up exactly as you are. Healing isn’t linear, and you’ll never be expected to have it all figured out.
