Bilingual Online Therapy in 43 States

Spiraling, anxious, and stuck? You’re not alone, and it doesn’t have to feel this way forever.

You’ve tried to do it all on your own, and yet here you are tired of overthinking, second-guessing, and running on empty. I get it, and therapy can actually feel human, real, and yes, even a little fun. Keep reading to see how we can do it together.

Meet Dr. Ashley Carreras

I’m Dr. Ashley Carreras, a bilingual licensed psychologist, the daughter of Cuban immigrants, and a military spouse. Clients often describe me as bubbly, warm, human, and deeply caring, which really just means I show up as myself in session. I believe therapy works best when you are sitting across from a real person, not a blank stare or a clipboard. I bring my full humanity into the room so you can feel truly seen, understood, and supported.

Here’s the truth: I know what it’s like to struggle with anxiety myself. I’ve been there overthinking, second-guessing, and feeling stuck in patterns that just don’t serve you. That experience shapes how I work with my clients. I get it. And more importantly, I know it can get better.

One of the most important parts of therapy, in my opinion, is feeling like your therapist genuinely gets you. I want you to feel understood on a deep level, not just listened to. At the same time, I am not here to be a hype person who agrees with everything you say. I believe healing also requires honesty and gentle truth-telling. I will support you, challenge you when needed, and help you see patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

I use humor and warmth in my sessions because healing happens best when you feel safe and comfortable. My goal is for therapy to feel like sitting in a warm, cozy room where you can finally exhale, be your actual self, and speak freely without fear of judgment. You do not have to filter yourself, perform, or have it all figured out here. This is a space where you are met with understanding, care, and honesty, so you can explore what you are carrying and begin to let it soften.

I will never sit silently while you struggle alone. I am engaged, present, and invested in understanding your experience. Therapy with me is collaborative, authentic, and grounded in connection. You can expect warmth, care, humor, and real conversation, all within a space that feels safe enough to do meaningful healing.

Fun Facts About Me

Animal lover: I have two adopted doodles, Marigold and Belladonna, and two orange tabby cats, Jonathan and Freud. The doodle girls can often be seen lounging in the background of sessions.

Coffee enthusiast: Weekends and vacations almost always include exploring a local coffee shop (sometimes more than one a day).

Pleasure TV: I love reality TV and can definitely get lost in Bridgerton’s romance and drama.

Music vibes: My favorite musicians are Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift.

Clumsy at times: I’ve been known to trip while walking in a perfectly straight line.

Love to move: I enjoy yoga, barre, and hiking to stay grounded and energized.

Favorite book: Jane Austen reigns supreme for me, so Pride and Prejudice is forever a favorite
